IMCL appoints new CEO
For the last six years, Sara has led Orchestra Victoria, part of The Australian Ballet, and is the current Chair of the Melbourne Women in Film Festival. Her past CLC experience includes WEstjustice and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Sara has a track record leading organisations with a focus on values, purpose, financial sustainability and strong stakeholder relationships. She will continue IMCL’s collaborative, holistic and innovative approach to justice for its local communities.
Sara is looking forward to joining IMCL.
“I am delighted to be joining such a talented, passionate and innovative legal service, working to improve the lives of people who live, work and visit the City of Melbourne and Flemington. Thanks to Damian Stock, Nadia Morales and all IMCL’s staff and volunteers for their hard work.”
IMCL Chairperson, Caroline Evans, said Sara would be taking the reins during an important period for IMCL.
“Sara comes with valuable experience across the university, housing, legal and creative industry sectors. She is committed to human rights, social and environmental change, interdisciplinary partnerships and an innovative approach to justice. She will support strong services and advocacy based around the needs of the local communities we work in.”
The Board acknowledges and thanks both our previous CEO, Damian Stock, and our Acting CEO, Nadia Morales, for the work done to put IMCL in the strong position we are today.
